Ladies and gentlemen, please join us in congratulating the Bark Family for its achievements at this year’s @catalinaclassicpaddleboardrace ! @jackbark won the unlimited division with Record breaking time of 4:54, and @emily_bark won the women’s division with a hard fought paddle battle with perennial champion @landlocked_images (Liz Hunter)! @jayhermbch giving words of advice and motivation to the first timers for @catalinaclassicpaddleboardrace at the pre-race safety meeting. One of the biggest challenges for this race is getting a good night’s sleep the night before, especially for first timers. Race jitters, uncomfortable sleeping accommodations, escort boat crews sucking down too many Buffalo Milks and being REALLY loud late at night, and more distractions all add up to a near impossible ability to sleep soundly. Good night everyone!

SBBC Board Member, Jani Lange, is running for Hermosa Beach City Council!!!! Jani has made a big impact for our club and the community, and he has been involved with Hermosa Parks and Rec, Hermosa Surfer Walk of Fame, Hermosa Leadership, and the father of 4 incredible kids. Better yet he still has time for his beautiful wife, Denyse! He clearly has the energy and ability to be a fantastic Councilman for the City of Hermosa Beach.
