OVERVIEW

The Catalina Cup is a fun family friendly 2 mile paddleboard race that will happen in conjunction with the world famous Catalina Classic. The Catalina Cup 2 mile paddleboard race will start and finish at the historic Manhattan Beach Pier. If you love paddling but the growling 32 mile Catalina Classic is a little out of your league, come down and race the Catalina Cup and then hang around to watch the worlds best long distance paddlers finish the 32 mile Catalina Classic.

The 2 mile race starts just off the beautiful sands of Manhattan Beach and races south just outside the surf one mile. From there, the paddlers will round 2 big red buoys and then race back to the pier on the historic Catalina Classic race course then sprint up the beach and across the timing chip finish line.

The short course was designed as a fun family friendly race for Junior Lifeguards, family and friends, and those that may be new to paddleboard racing. Don’t own a paddleboard? No problem, the short course has a foamy division so grab your soft board and head on down to all the fun at the Catalina Cup paddleboard race.

The 2024 Catalina Cup Paddleboard Race is brought to you by The South Bay Boardriders Club.
