Intro to Outrigger Canoe Paddling 2024

The South Bay Boardrider’s Club (SBBC) is collaborating with Lanakila Outrigger Canoe Club to introduce SBBC members and non-members to Hawaiian outrigger canoe paddling in 6-person canoes. Ages 9 and above are welcome to participate and discover a fantastic ocean sport that Polynesians brought to the mainland a long time ago. Yet another opportunity to play in the ocean!

It is recommended to wear a rash guard and swimwear because you are likely to get splashed and its possible the canoe will flip (huli). Please bring a towel and water for yourself.

Watermans will once again be providing poke, and kalua pork sliders.
